If something went wrong, open Tools in the app and tap Diagnostics. It prepares a short log of app activity you can attach to your email. The log never contains your video or any frame from it, and nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.

In your email, tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, what you tapped, and what you expected to happen.

Common questions

How do I blur a face?

Tap Edit, pick a video, then tap Blur all faces. BleepFace scans the whole clip, covers every face it finds, and follows them as they move. To cover something the scan missed, tap Add blur and drop it on the spot.

Does my video get uploaded anywhere?

BleepFace never uploads your videos. Detection and blurring happen on your iPhone. Videos saved to Photos may sync with the photo library services you have turned on, and copies you choose to share are handled by the receiving app or service.

A face was missed. What do I do?

Scrub to the moment, tap Add blur, and place it. Use Timing to set where it starts and ends, and Scale to make it bigger or stretch it into a rectangle for plates and screens.

How do I change how a blur looks?

Select the blur and open Style. Choose blur, pixels, scramble, blackout, or flare, or drop an emoji on top with a cover underneath. The feather slider sets the edge from hard to soft.

How do I record with the blur already on?

With Pro, tap Shoot. Faces are covered live in the camera as you record, and a final sweep looks for faces the live pass missed and adds coverage where it finds them before the clip is saved. Play the take back and check it yourself before you share it.

How do I keep my own face clear?

With Pro, open Shoot and set up Keep clear. The front camera learns your face once, and the live blur then leaves you unblurred while it blurs the other faces it finds. Matching is approximate, so when BleepFace is not sure, it blurs. Only add people who agree to it.

How do I delete face data?

Open Tools and tap Delete face data. The row appears once at least one face is set up for Keep clear, with or without Pro. You can also remove one person from the People kept clear list in the camera, and deleting the app removes it too.

What is Batch?

With Pro, open Tools and tap Batch to blur up to 20 videos in one sitting. Each clip gets the same scan as the editor. Step through them one by one, adjust what needs adjusting, and export them all.

What is Secure send?

With Pro, Secure send makes a copy of a finished video with a moving watermark that names the person you are sending it to, and keeps a log of who got which copy on your iPhone. If a leaked copy still shows the mark, you know whose copy it was. Editing tools, including AI, can remove watermarks, so treat it as a deterrent, not a lock. Open it from Tools, or tap the shield next to Export in the editor.

How do I save my edited video?

Tap Export. Before saving, BleepFace spot checks frames across the finished video for faces it can still see. If it finds one, it lists the moments and asks Fix first or Save anyway. Otherwise a new copy is saved to your photo library. Your original is never changed. The check can miss small or turned faces, so play the copy back before you share it.

Why does my export have a BleepFace mark on it?

Free exports carry a BleepFace mark. BleepFace Pro removes it. Editor tools stay free. Pro also includes Shoot, Batch, and Secure send.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Tools and tap Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so they come back on any iPhone signed in with the same account.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In BleepFace, open Tools and tap Manage subscription. Or open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose BleepFace. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are made through Apple, so Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Which iPhones are supported?

Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Newer phones scan faster.
